Before people think I dont like cats, I do I have a cat and think they are great. A neighbour has two bengal cats, well, not hers, she is cat sitting for her daughter, but has had them for a year or so, seems bit permanent to me. Anyway, to the question, the male cat finds his way into the neighbours houses, amazing us all just how he does it! He got into one house and into the babies cot and scratched his face. Now how he got in is a mystery, the upstairs bathroom window was open just a little after a bath. All else was closed up. This cat has been making all the neighbours life terrible, he has no fear at all, eating food from kitchens, tearing up peoples gardens, his poo is same as medium sized dogs and he poos anywhere he likes, so, legally, can the lady with the baby, or anyone else living with this do anything about it?
yes. ask the cat owner to control the cat, or you will file a complaint. my daughter in law had to do that about her neighbor letting her very large dogs bark incessantly. the neighbor was not very interested, so, after repeated attempts to reconcile this, the cops were called. they gave the lady a ticket about violating local noise ordinances. i guess she had issues with other people filing complaints.
