Indoor cat, concerned about my caring for her...?

So I have an indoor cat, Mona. I love her! I've had her since August 25th. I'm home a lot, I leave for 8 hours on T and R and thats the longest. Usually I'm only gone for a few hours here or there. She has constant water and constant food at her disposal. 2 scratching posts, large liter box, cozy carrier that she sometimes curls up in. I put a pillow next to my computer so she can lay by me.... I do everything I think is right.... but she doesn't seem to be in good health. Her pad paws are all dried out and one of them is severely cracked. When I touched it she got really defensive her of paw and tucked it under neath her. Also, her nails are very frayed at the ends, they never used to be like this. I need some advice!

PS: I only feed her dry food, it's an all natural, vitamin enriched kind... could this be part of the problem? Should I be seriously worried(well... I already am.. haha)

well check with your vet, but you really should add some wet food into her diet your presscious baby is probable dehydrated and I know during the winter season I give my cat flax seed oil you can find it online or at petstores it is rather inexpesive and they do have just for pets, it will help her with her skin, coat pads and nails, it contains essential fatty acids that help with the development of natural moisterizers.
